A 34-year-old man was jailed for 12 months by Sha Tin Magistracy today for making false representation in relation to a bogus marriage.

He admitted receiving money for marrying a pregnant Mainland woman to help her deliver her child in Hong Kong.

He also made false representation to an immigration officer by claiming he had known the woman for many years and had an intimate relationship with her.
