Customs officers arrested a 19-year-old man at Lok Ma Chau Control Point today after they found about 1.27kg of suspected methamphetamine worth about $724,000 wrapped around his waist.
The teen, who claimed to be a student, will be charged with drug trafficking and will appear at Fanling Magistrates' Courts tomorrow.
Drug trafficking is a serious offence that carries a maximum penalty of life in prison and a $5 million fine.
