A Mainland woman was sentenced to 20-months' jail today at Sha Tin Magistracy for lying to an immigration officer about her pregnancy.

While entering Hong Kong as a visitor at Lok Ma Chau Spur Line Control Point, the 34-year-old told an immigration officer she was not pregnant.

She then went to a public hospital to give birth without a booking.
