A public rental housing tenant has been fined $24,000 for violating the Housing Ordinance.
The Housing Department prosecuted the tenant after it found he failed to declare his ownership or possession of landed property worth $11.7 million.
For knowingly making a false statement, he was fined and given a two month jail sentence, suspended for two years, by Tuen Mun Magistrates' Courts today.
