13 building plans approved

The Buildings Department approved 13 building plans in June – seven on Hong Kong Island, one in Kowloon and five in the New Territories.

 

Five were for apartment and apartment-commercial developments, three for commercial developments, two for factory and industrial developments, and three for community services developments.

 

Consent was given for work to start on 22 building projects that will provide 320,467 sq m of gross floor area for domestic use, involving 6,093 units, and 235,804 sq m of gross floor area for non-domestic use.

 

The department received notification of the start of work for 10 building projects.

 

It also issued 20 occupation permits - five on Hong Kong Island, seven in Kowloon and eight in the New Territories.

 

The buildings certified for occupation have 157,318 sq m of gross floor area for domestic use, involving 2,341 units, and 72,690 sq m for non-domestic use.

 

The declared cost of new buildings completed in June totalled $9.7 billion.
