The Land Registry recorded 7,605 sale and purchase agreements for all building units in March, up 35.4% on February and 141.1% compared to a year ago.
The total consideration for sale and purchase agreements in March was $61.6 billion, rising 42% on February and 184.5% year-on-year.
Among the sale and purchase agreements, 5,856 were for residential units, a 43.6% increase on the previous month and 147.2% more year-on-year.
The total consideration for residential units was $50.4 billion, up 38.2% compared with February and 194.5% more year-on-year.
The public made 484,298 land register searches during the month.
