The Buildings Department approved 16 building plans in August - six on Hong Kong Island, one in Kowloon and nine in the New Territories.
Six were for apartment and apartment-commercial developments, three for commercial developments, one for factory and industrial developments, and six for community services development.
Consent was given for work to start on 15 building projects that will provide 260,379 sq m of gross floor area for domestic use, involving 3,949 units, and 79,714 sq m of gross floor area for non-domestic use.
The department received notification of start of work for 11 building projects. It also issued 24 occupation permits - nine on Hong Kong Island, four in Kowloon and 11 in the New Territories.
The buildings certified for occupation have 48,221 sq m for domestic use, involving 803 units, and 69,283 sq m for non-domestic use.
