Secretary for Development Paul Chan visited Macau today to learn about its heritage conservation work.
Together with nine members of the Antiquities Advisory Board, Mr Chan visited St Lazarus Quarter which is a classified ensemble in the list of Macau's cultural heritage, the Na Tcha Exhibition Hall which introduces the legend of Na Tcha and its festive traditions, as well as family shrine the Macau Ho's Clan Hall.
Mr Chan and the delegation later toured Mandarin's House, once lived in by late-Qing Chinese philosopher Zheng Guanying.
They also visited the first Western-style theatre in China, Dom Pedro V Theatre, and the Sir Robert Ho Tung Library which was used to be Sir Robert Ho Tung's villa.
They later met Macau Cultural Affairs Bureau President Ung Vai-meng.
