Data centre:  New eTransport Kiosks are now in service at eight locations.

The Transport Department today launched eTransport Kiosks at eight locations to give people easy access to information on public transport and real-time traffic.

The kiosks are at Ocean Park, the Central Ferry Piers, the Peak Galleria, Stanley Municipal Services Building, Sai Kung Town Centre, Hung Hom MTR Station, Tung Chung near Ngong Ping 360 and opposite Wong Tai Sin Temple.

The kiosks provide interactive electronic maps for people to locate nearby sightseeing spots or their destinations.

The kiosks were first commissioned in 2014 at the airport, the Convention & Exhibition Centre, Tsim Sha Tsui Ferry Pier and Sha Tin MTR Station.

Taking into account feedback received since then, the design of the new kiosks has been improved, including adding "hotels" and "points of interest" buttons to the user interface. The casing and home screen have also been improved to make them more eye-catching.

The design of existing kiosks will also be modified to match the new ones.

Another kiosk will be launched in September on a footbridge near Exchange Square.
