21 building plans approved

The Buildings Department approved 21 building plans in April - six on Hong Kong Island, four in Kowloon and 11 in the New Territories.

 

Eleven were for apartment and apartment-commercial developments, five for commercial developments, three for factory and industrial developments, and two for community services development.

 

Consent was given for work to start on nine building projects that will provide 24,388 square metres of gross floor area for domestic use, involving 584 units, and 92,070 sq m of gross floor area for non-domestic use.

 

The department received notification of the start of work for 13 building projects. It also issued 17 occupation permits - eight on Hong Kong Island, six in Kowloon and three in the New Territories.

 

The buildings certified for occupation have 53,203 sq m of gross floor area for domestic use, involving 530 units, and 70,937 sq m for non-domestic use.

 

The declared cost of new buildings completed in April totalled $4.4 billion.
