Lantau development forums set

February 11, 2016

Two forums will be held this month to gauge public views on proposals to develop Lantau into a smart and low-carbon community.

The proposals cover spatial planning and land use, conservation, strategic traffic and transport infrastructure, recreation and tourism, as well as social development.

The first forum will be held at HKFEW Wong Cho Bau Secondary School, Area 10, Phase 3, Fu Tung Estate, Tung Chung on February 20.

The second forum will be at City Gallery, 3 Edinburgh Place, Central on February 28.

Both forums will be held from 2.30pm to 5pm in Cantonese. Simultaneous English interpretation will be provided. Seats are limited.

People can register by email, by telephone: 8226 2636, Monday to Friday, 9am to 6pm except public holidays, and by fax: 3585 0211. Please provide your name, email address and telephone number and state which forum you wish to attend.

Enrolment forms can be downloaded at the Lantau Development Advisory Committee's website. Successful enrolment will be confirmed by phone or email.

The forums are part of the Lantau development public engagement exercise being held until April 30, which also includes a roving exhibition and briefing sessions.
