Secretary for Transport & Housing Prof Anthony Cheung says he is confident in finding a suitable co-location boundary control arrangement for the Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Hong Kong Express Rail Link.
Prof Cheung told reporters today that similar customs, immigration and quarantine co-location arrangements can be found overseas, such as those between Canada and the United States, and France and the United Kingdom.
He noted that the co-location arrangement requires the appropriate legislative and legal framework as it involves complicated constitutional and legal issues.
Prof Cheung will discuss the co-location arrangements with Hong Kong & Macau Affairs Office officials tomorrow.
