Two sites have been added to the land sale programme for the second quarter of 2015-16, the Government announced today.
They are a residential site in Tai Wo Ping and a business site in Yuen Long.
The residential site is New Kowloon Inland Lot No.6542 on Yin Ping Road.
The site area is 20,401 square metres, and it has minimum and maximum gross floor areas of 35,250 and 58,750 sq m. It will provide 980 flats.
It will be sold by public tender. The tender invitation will open August 7 and close September 18.
The business site is at the junction of Wang Yip Street West and Hong Yip Street in Tung Tau Industrial Area. It has a site area of 9,246 sq m, which can provide 46,000 sq m of gross floor area.
Announcing the quarterly land sale programme in June, Secretary for Development Paul Chan said the Government might put additional sites up for sale from July to September, subject to the progress of rezoning and other work, as well as market conditions.
Government land sales, together with railway property development projects and urban renewal projects, are estimated to bring 10,600 flats in the first half of 2015-16, which equals to 56% of the 2015-16 private housing land supply target.
