Director of Civil Engineering & Development Daniel Chung today officiated at a community planting event at the north apron of the Kai Tak Development project.
Stage two infrastructure works have formed seven pieces of land for public and private residential developments, and related infrastructure, including the planting of 150,000 plants.
Roads and amenity areas have been decorated with various plant species to create an attractive visual effect and a comfortable green area for the public.
"The planting activity today not only marks a new page for the Kai Tak Development, but also provides an opportunity to promote community participation in greening activities and enable the public to know more about our project to create a sustainable and green network," Mr Chung said.
About 30 teachers and students, and District Councillors participated in the event.
