27 building plans approved

The Buildings Department approved 27 building plans in March - four on Hong Kong Island, 10 in Kowloon and 13 in the New Territories.

 

Ten were for apartment and apartment-commercial developments, four were for commercial developments, three were for factory and industrial developments and 10 were for community-services developments.

 

Consent was given for work to start on 19 building projects that, when completed, will provide 388,891 square metres of gross floor area for domestic use, involving 5,874 units, and 298,307 sq m of gross floor area for non-domestic use.

 

The department also issued 25 occupation permits - 10 on Hong Kong Island, seven in Kowloon and eight in the New Territories.

 

The buildings certified for occupation have 34,258 sq m of gross floor area for domestic use, involving 495 units, and 42,117 sq m for non-domestic use.

 

The declared cost of new buildings completed in the month totalled $2.5 billion.
