Its facilities will include bus termini, restaurants, a supermarket, a wet market, two kindergartens and a carpark.
On Tat Estate, comprising 11 domestic blocks ranging from 29 to 42 storeys, will be completed in phases from August this year to September next year.
There will be a two-storey commercial centre, an elderly centre, an integrated children and youth services centre, and two kindergartens.
There will also be district open space to accommodate a soccer pitch, a children's play area, fitness stations and an ancillary facilities block accommodating social welfare facilities.
Before touring the sites, Professor Cheung visited Sau Mau Ping South Estate to inspect its plant nursery and chat with a resident family.
