24 building plans approved

The Buildings Department approved 24 building plans in February - eight on Hong Kong Island, seven in Kowloon and nine in the New Territories.

 

Five were for apartment and apartment-commercial developments, seven were for commercial developments, four were for factory and industrial developments and eight were for community-services developments.

 

Consent was given for work to start on 18 building projects that, when completed, will provide 50,609 square metres of gross floor area for domestic use, involving 523 units, and 133,883 sq m of gross floor area for non-domestic use.

 

The department also issued 20 occupation permits - one on Hong Kong Island, 15 in Kowloon and four in the New Territories.

 

The buildings certified for occupation have 11,741 sq m of gross floor area for domestic use, involving 125 units, and 35,798 sq m for non-domestic use.

 

The declared cost of new buildings completed in the month totalled $1.5 billion.
