The Electrical & Mechanical Services Department has approved the reopening of ExxonMobil's LPG station on Clear Water Bay Road.
It was shut down on April 8 after a liquefied petroleum gas sample failed to meet auto-LPG specifications.
An investigation found the newly installed dispensing hose containing LPG at the station had not been in use for a long period of time, resulting in the LPG absorbing a small amount of dissolvable substances from the hose and leading to the non-compliance.
ExxonMobil has submitted a report to the department and recent samples comply with the specifications, so the department agreed to reopen the station.
