The International Civil Aviation Organisation 51st Directors General of Civil Aviation Conference of Asia & Pacific Regions concluded today with the formulation of a Hong Kong Statement.
The four-day conference was hosted by the Civil Aviation Department at its headquarters.
It was attended by more than 250 delegates from over 40 places and international organisations in the region.
After thorough discussion, the parties agreed to improve aviation safety and security, enhance air navigation capacity and efficiency, maintain sustainable supply of aviation professionals, and protect the environment.
Director-General of Civil Aviation Norman Lo was elected Chairperson of the Conference.
Delegates discussed papers on the theme topic "Rise to Future Challenges in Aviation through Closer Collaboration & Harmonisation", and signed a number of agreements.
