Secretary for Transport & Housing Prof Anthony Cheung will visit the UK and the Netherlands from September 24 to 27 to promote Hong Kong as an international maritime centre and logistics hub.
In the UK he will call on the Maritime & Coastguard Agency, and visit the Port of Southampton to look at port and vessel management.
He will call on Transport for London, and tour the London Overground and Underground. He will also attend the Hong Kong Association Membership Forum & Reception.
In the Netherlands he will tour European Container Terminals in Rotterdam to see its container port automation and attend a luncheon with the Dutch logistics industry. He will also pay a courtesy call on Amsterdam's Deputy Mayor Kajsa Ollongren.
During his absence, Under Secretary for Transport & Housing Yau Shing-mu will act as Secretary.
