The Buildings Department approved 22 building plans in July - eight on Hong Kong Island, five in Kowloon and nine in the New Territories.
Fourteen were for apartment and apartment-commercial developments, two were for commercial developments, one was for a factory and industrial development, and five were for community-services developments.
Consent was given for work to start on 14 building projects that, when completed, will provide 243,926 square metres of gross floor area for domestic use, involving 3,578 units, and 75,774 sq m of gross floor area for non-domestic use.
The department also issued 16 occupation permits - four on Hong Kong Island, six in Kowloon and six in the New Territories.
The buildings certified for occupation have 118,939 sq m of gross floor area for domestic use, involving 1,739 units, and 11,612 sq m for non-domestic use.
The declared cost of new buildings completed in July totalled $3.3 billion.
