Gov't ICT team visits Dalian
June 18, 2013
The Commerce & Economic Development Bureau today led a Hong Kong information and communications technology delegation to Dalian.
They will join the 11th China International Software & Information Service Fair, held from June 20 to 23, the only national software fair approved by the State Council and the largest annual ICT event on the Mainland.
The delegation will also visit digital entertainment and software companies at the Dalian High-tech Industrial Zone and Dalian Tiandi ICT Region.
Permanent Secretary for Commerce & Economic Development (Communications & Technology) Susie Ho will deliver an opening address at the forum.
Government Chief Information Officer Daniel Lai will give a keynote speech, and will meet with Dalian Economic & Information Technology Committee officials.
The Office of the Government Chief Information Officer and the fair's organising committee will co-organise a forum on June 21 on how ICT enterprises in Hong Kong and the Mainland can co-operate, and how overseas enterprises can participate in ICT development on the Mainland.
A Hong Kong pavilion will be set up at the fair to showcase products and services from 15 local enterprises, demonstrate the industry’s development, and provide a platform for exploring business opportunities.
