Police probe LRT accident

Police have launched an investigation into the derailment of a Light Rail Transit train in Tin Shui Wai today.

The Mass Transit Railway Corporation is helping in the investigation, saying it is concerned about the accident and will conduct an internal review to see what caused it.

There were about 150 passengers on the train when the accident happened, it said.

LRT services between Hang Mei Tsuen stop and Yuen Long terminus will be suspended until further notice, affecting routes 610, 614, 615, 751 and 761P.
