The Leisure & Cultural Services Department appealed to the public today to keep places clean and tidy when celebrating the Mid-Autumn Festival.
The department reminded people not to fly sky lanterns as they can cause injuries or damage to property.
About 1,000 officers will patrol the department's venues including parks, beaches and barbecue sites on October 4 and 5.
Action will be taken against littering, wax burning, throwing objects onto trees and flying sky lanterns.
People can call 2414 5555 from 7pm to midnight on the two days to report incidents.
