The Chief Executive has appointed nine members to the Private Columbaria Licensing Board for three years from today.
The Head of the Food & Environmental Hygiene Department’s Private Columbaria Affairs Office is the board’s Chairperson and ex-officio member while Ip Kwok-him is Deputy Chairperson.
The other members are Cheung Hau-wai, James Fong, Ho Chi-ming, Elizabeth Law, Johnny Ng, James Pong and Alice Wan.
The Food & Health Bureau said the members come from various professional fields and have extensive experience in public service.
The board is responsible for regulating the operation and management of private columbaria, issuing industry guidelines and codes of practice as well as handling complaints.
