Participants in the Young Astronaut Training Camp shared their experiences and were presented with certificates today.
The 30 secondary students selected for the programme organised by the Hong Kong Space Museum were taught fundamental space science and technology topics during the eight-day training camp in Beijing and Jiuquan.
They also underwent astronaut training, including the wearing of spacesuits, escape and survival, as well as blood redistribution adaptability, and visited major space and astronomy facilities.
The space cadets said the training camp enhanced their appreciation of astronauts, and their interest in astronomy and the aerospace industry.
The museum has been organising the camp since 2009, selecting 30 Hong Kong secondary students to join the programme each year.
