The Centre for Health Protection is investigating the two recent cases of Dengue fever and urges people to guard against the disease.
Secretary for Food & Health Prof Sophia Chan made the statement today, noting the second patient's residence is close to that of the first local case.
The centre is investigating whether the cases are related.
She said mosquito prevention and control work has been conducted in areas near the workplaces and residences of the patients, and health talks have been held.
She called on the public to take preventive measures against mosquitoes.
