The Hospital Authority will hold an urgent meeting with the heads of hospital psychiatric units to develop measures to protect patients following recent sexual assaults.
Secretary for Food & Health Dr Ko Wing-man made the statement today after assaults on patients at United Christian and Kowloon hospitals were reported.
Dr Ko said it is a serious matter that requires a more strict mechanism to protect patients.
He said he will ensure the improvement measures are implemented by the authority.
