A cooked food market to be run during the Lunar New Year in Sham Shui Po is a very good example of a district-based initiative with the Government acting as a facilitator in terms of facilities required.

Secretary for Food & Health Dr Ko Wing-man made the statement today as the Government finalised arrangements for holding the market in the district.

He said the initiative can go ahead due to the efforts of its proponents in the district and the District Council.
