The Centre for Health Protection is monitoring six Middle East Respiratory Syndrome cases in Saudi Arabia.
The patients are five men and one woman aged 52 to 94. Four are in critical condition and two are stable.
So far 1,832 MERS cases have been reported to the World Health Organisation, including at least 651 deaths.
Travel agents organising tours to the Middle East are advised not to arrange camel rides and activities involving the animals which may increase the risk of infection.
