Youth focus:  Chief Executive CY Leung speaks at Youth Summit 2016.

Official interaction:  Secretary for the Environment KS Wong and Secretary for Development Paul Chan take part in an interaction session.

Chief Executive CY Leung attended Youth Summit 2016 today to discuss issues of concern to both the Government and young people.

 

The summit was organised by the Home Affairs Bureau and the Commission on Youth with the theme of "Tomorrow's Hong Kong, Youth Co-create".

 

Its sub-themes were "Future town planning", "Roles of young people in community affairs" and "Challenges and opportunities for young entrepreneurs", which were selected by young people.

 

Secretary for Home Affairs Lau Kong-wah said in a welcome speech young people attach importance to the discussion topics, adding the summit is to collect their views in formulating Government policies.

 

Mr Leung listened to participants' concerns and suggestions, and responded to questions submitted online.

 

Also attending the summit were Secretary for Commerce & Economic Development Gregory So, Secretary for the Environment KS Wong, Secretary for Development Paul Chan as well Secretary for Innovation & Technology Nicholas Yang.

 

Views collected at the summit will be submitted to government bureaus for follow-up.
