Farmers who suffered losses due to recent heavy rain can register with the Agriculture, Fisheries & Conservation Department until October 31 for assistance from an emergency relief fund.

The department said today a preliminary investigation found 300 hectares of farmland in the New Territories was affected by the rain.

Applicants can register at the department's Extension & Funds Division, 5/F Yuen Long Government Offices, Yuen Long.
