Chief Secretary Carrie Lam started Central Rat Race 2016 on Chater Road today.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, she said Central, and even Hong Kong, is not only an international financial centre, but also a place with soul and heart.
She said the event will raise funds for MINDSET, a charitable organisation sponsoring and supporting mental health related projects.
The event turns Central into a fun obstacle course for a fancy dress relay race.
