The National Day fireworks display lit up Victoria Harbour in celebration of the 67th anniversary of the People's Republic of China tonight.
The 23-minute extravaganza had eight scenes, including "Kung Fu" in which fireworks moved through the air in martial-arts style, and "Sea Song" showcasing jellyfish and other marine life.
The show reached its climax in the last scene "Lower Reaches of the Yellow River" with the fast and rhythmic firing of shells.
The event was co-ordinated by the Home Affairs Bureau and sponsored by the Hong Kong Members of Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference Hainan Province Municipal Committee Fraternity.
