Acclaimed arts critic Chow Fan-fu will give eight lectures on music and the human voice in October and November.
Part of the Leisure & Cultural Department's Music Appreciation Series, the first four lectures will cover Bach’s St Matthew Passion, Beethoven’s Ode to Joy, Verdi’s Requiem and Carl Orff’s Carmina Burana.
The others will focus on Puccini’s Turandot, Béla Bartók’s Duke Bluebeard’s Castle, Richard Charles Rodgers' The Sound of Music and Andrew Lloyd Webber’s The Phantom of the Opera.
All lectures will be held in the Space Museum lecture hall in Cantonese.
