More than 4,700 spectators turned out to watch Mainland Olympic medallists show their skills in badminton, table tennis and diving at Queen Elizabeth Stadium and Victoria Park Swimming Pool today.

 

The badminton and table tennis stars had friendly matches with budding Hong Kong players and some spectators selected by drawing lots.

 

At the diving demonstration the Olympians spoke with young local athletes.

 

The events also featured lucky draws for spectators win sports gear and merchandise signed by the Olympians.

 

Chief Secretary Carrie Lam and Secretary for Home Affairs Lau Kong-wah attended the demonstrations and spoke with the athletes.

 

Another group of Mainland Olympians attended a youth exchange event at Ma On Shan Sports Centre.

 

They met 1,300 members of youth uniformed groups and other local youngsters, and joined them to play interactive games.

 

The China Women's National Volleyball Team also visited an elderly home and played with children from grassroots families.
