The Hong Kong Government held a welcoming ceremony on the airport apron to receive the delegation.

They were greeted by Chief Secretary Carrie Lam, Deputy Director of the Central People’s Government Liaison Office Yang Jian, Secretary for Home Affairs Lau Kong-wah, and other guests.

Representatives of the 200 students joining the welcome ceremony presented bouquets of flowers to the delegation leader and athletes.

The elite athletes will meet the public and stage sports demonstrations during their stay in Hong Kong, enabling the public to see them up close.
