Sports for All Day set for Aug 7

June 20, 2016

The Leisure & Cultural Services Department will open its leisure facilities and hold recreation and sports programmes for free on August 7 for Sport for All Day 2016.

Leisure facilities available for free use include indoor and outdoor leisure facilities, public swimming pools and craft at water sports centres.

They will be open for booking from July 31 on a first-come, first-served basis. Each person can only book one free session.

Free recreation and sports programmes will also be held on the day, including health talks and exercise demonstrations, fitness corners, sports activities for parents and children, activities for people with disabilities and sports participation sessions.

Registration will start on July 18 at the department's District Leisure Services Offices.

The department will also set up sports-themed 3D "Photo Fun" Zones, some of which will feature action shots of Hong Kong elite athletes, including billiard star Ng On-yee, squash player Annie Au and bowler Wu Siu-hong.
