Incubator incident probed

May 22, 2016

The Hospital Authority has set up a committee of different experts to investigate how a baby fell out of an incubator at Kwong Wah Hospital earlier this month, Acting Secretary for Food & Health Prof Sophia Chan says.

Speaking to reporters today, Prof Chan said the authority has reminded paediatric ward staff to be careful when caring for babies.

She also sent her regards to the baby’s parents and family, adding that the infant remains at Kwong Wah Hospital in a stable condition.

Prof Chan also said the Government is concerned about children using e-cigarettes and will boost public education to highlight the dangers of e-cigarettes while strengthening the regulatory framework for them.
