The Centre for Health Protection has learned of a human case of avian influenza A(H5N6) in Anhui.
 
The 65-year-old woman from Xuancheng fell ill on April 24 and was admitted to hospital on April 27. She is in a critical condition.

 
The Mainland has reported 13 H5N6 cases since 2014.
 
The centre urged the public to maintain strict personal, food and environmental hygiene both locally and during travel.
