The Centre for Health Protection is monitoring five Middle East Respiratory Syndrome cases in Saudi Arabia.
The patients are five men aged 21 to 85. Three men are in stable condition and two are in home isolation.
To date, 1,638 MERS cases have been reported to the World Health Organisation, including at least 587 deaths.
Travel agents organising tours to the Middle East are advised not to arrange camel rides and activities involving the animals which may increase the risk of infection.
