Chief Executive CY Leung today congratulated Hong Kong athlete Sarah Lee for winning gold in the women’s keirin event at the 2016 Asian Cycling Championships in Japan.
He said Ms Lee, with exceptional skills and relentless resolve, has made remarkable achievements for Hong Kong again in cycling competition, displaying strong determination, reflecting Hong Kong athletes’ perseverance.
Secretary for Home Affairs Lau Kong-wah also extended his congratulations to Ms Lee, noting that the Hong Kong cycling team’s exceptional achievements showcases the capability of local athletes to the world.
The Hong Kong cycling team has won 16 medals at the championships.
