The second batch of 10 highlight events under the “Appreciate Hong Kong” Campaign will start tomorrow to boost positive energy and encourage citizens to appreciate their city.
This follows the first batch of 10 events launched last month which received an enthusiastic response from the public and benefitted different sectors of the community.
The second batch includes the Jockey Club Special Marathon, Chinese New Year parade, Hong Kong Flower Show, Infrastructure Building Competition for Secondary Schools, Hong Kong Observatory open day and the Hong Kong Sevens.
The campaign encourages the joint efforts of government departments, businesses, academia and community organisations to run and launch activities and projects that complement the campaign theme. More than 300 activities have been included so far.
Newly devised or planned initiatives that may be enriched to suit the five-month campaign, can be proposed for inclusion.
