12 more ill from sandwiches

August 06, 2015

The Centre for Health Protection has identified four more clusters of food poisoning cases, affecting five men and seven women who ate Horng Ryen Jen sandwiches.

The 12 patients, aged three to 70, fell ill after consuming the sandwiches purchased online, at exhibition booths in a Wong Tai Sin shopping centre, and a supermarket in Kowloon Bay between July 25 and 29.

Ten sought medical consultation and one who required hospitalisation has been discharged.

So far, the centre had identified 29 clusters affecting 84 people.
