The Government hosted a welcome home ceremony at Hong Kong International Airport today, to celebrate the triumphant return of the 2015 Special Olympics World Summer Games delegation.

The Special Olympics this year took place from July 25 to August 2 in Los Angeles. Sixty-five Hong Kong athletes participated in nine competition events at the Games: aquatics, athletics, badminton, bocce, bowling, football, golf, gymnastics and table tennis.

After fierce contests, the Hong Kong delegation won a total of 122 medals, comprising 59 gold, 40 silver and 23 bronze.
