Secretary for Home Affairs Lau Kong-wah has commended Hong Kong athletes for winning 124 medals at the 2015 Special Olympics World Summer Games in Los Angeles.
Mr Lau hailed their tally of 59 gold, 41 silver and 24 bronze medals.
The Special Olympics is the world's largest sporting event for the intellectually disabled.
The competitions are structured through divisioning, so athletes compete with other athletes of similar ability in equitable divisions.
The delegation will return to Hong Kong on August 4.
