July 29, 2015
Art start

Art start:  Director of Leisure & Cultural Services Michelle Li (centre) opens the ARTivating Public Buildings project.

Four sets of community-related artworks designed by local artists have gone on display at four government buildings under the ARTivating Public Buildings public art project.

The buildings are in Tuen Mun, Stanley, Tung Chung and Tai Kok Tsui.

The project was launched today at Stanley Community Hall.

Director of Leisure & Cultural Services Michelle Li said the project links art and the everyday life of people, and provides platforms for local artists to display their work.

Until July next year, the public can participate in various fringe activities under the project, such as guided tours and workshops, in addition to appreciating the artworks on show.

During the exhibition period, free guided tours and other activities will be provided on the sites.
