The Department of Health added Liberia to the list of Ebola-affected areas today.
In addition to the first case reported to the World Health Organisation after the end of the Ebola outbreak in Liberia on May 9, Liberian authorities have reported a second case of the disease.
This second patient lives in the same village and had contact with the first Ebola patient.
A healthworker who treated the first patient is missing.
People are urged to avoid unnecessary travel to Guinea, Liberia and Sierra Leone.
The department will monitor the situation and liaise with the WHO.
