The Centre for Health Protection announced today the 2015 Southern Hemisphere Seasonal Influenza Vaccination Programme stock might be depleted soon.
As of June 29, the Hospital Authority and designated Elderly Health Centres had administered about 39,000 doses of the vaccine to eligible community-living seniors aged 75 or above, while residential care homes administered 43,000 doses to their residents.
About 15,000 doses are now left for eligible community-living elderly people.
The Hospital Authority and designated Elderly Health Centres will continue administering doses until the vaccine is used up.
