The $2 transport fare concession scheme for the elderly and the disabled will be extended to cover 55 more green minibus routes from tomorrow.
It brings the total number of routes covered by the scheme to 462 which amounts to 91% of all green minibuses.
Minibuses taking part in the scheme will display a logo on their windscreens, doors and above their Octopus card readers.
Secretary for Labour & Welfare Matthew Cheung said some of newly added routes will cover public hospitals, bringing more benefits to seniors and the disabled who need to consult doctors frequently.
To enjoy the concessionary fare, seniors must use their Elder Octopus or Personalised Octopus cards, while the disabled must use their Personalised Octopus card with "Persons with Disabilities Status".
